The Congregation's social events will vary from month to month. Times and places for each event are noted below. All members of the Congrgation are welcome to come to any event, though space may be limited in some venues. Please let the event host know that you plan to come. The host can also provide directions. If you want to host an event, please notify your kindly webistress or just announce it at a service

We invite you come and participate or just sit back and enjoy the hospitatlity.

Spring 2012 Events

Picnic at Alexander Springs

Join UU folks for an outing to Alexander Springs. We'll carpool from church, have a picnic lunch and then go canoeing and/or walking on the nature trails..... swimming if you're really brave. We hope board members will join us after their meeting. Where: Alexander Springs Recreation Area,
49525 County Road 445, Altoona, Fla.
Date: February 12
Time: Directly after church
Cost: $5.50 per person day use fee
($2.75 for Golden Age Passport holders (age 62+), purchase at any ranger station, not at the park.
Canoe Rentals (drivers license required)
$16 for 2 hours (+$20 refundable deposit for canoe use)

Interweave Movie

The last Interweave movie was a great success. The next Interweave Movie will be shown on March 4th. Click here for more details. Future programs will take place about once a month. All members of the Congregation and friends are invited to attend.

UU Singers

A diverse group of Congregation members who enjoy singing have combined to form a group called the Eustis UU Singers. This group will perform for the pleasure of the Congregation on the last service of each month. Their first performance was on March 27, 2011. The group meets during the month to select appropriate pieces and to practice. Watch for details here. The UU Singers always welcome new members. Read about the group here.

UU Book Club

The UU Book Club will next meet at 3:00 PM on February 7, 2011 at Robyn Kelly's house, 200 S. Palm Ave, Howey in the Hills. We are currently reading "Tales of the City" by Armistead Maupin or "After America" by Mark Steyn. Recent Books mentioned include:



UU Lunch Bunch

A diverse group of Congregation members meets after the meeting on Sunday at a local bistro for lunch, socializing and further discussion. Everyone is always welcome. Sign-up sheet will be provided so we can tell the restaurant how many will be coming. The venue for each week's outing will be announced at the end of the service or noted on the sign-up sheet. The Lunch Bunch does not meet when the Congregation is having a pot-luck.
